Burgau is a small authentic Portuguese fishing village, some call it the Santorini of Portugal with its typical white and blue houses. Burgau has all you need: 3 small supermarkets, restaurants, bars, bakery, cafes, patisserie, beach club, sports centre with padel and tennis courts. It is located on the Fisherman’s trail coastal path.

With excellent golf courses less than 5 minutes drive, Burgau is a great base for a golfing holiday.

The town of Lagos is 13km from Burgau (accessible via bus) and has plenty to offer, it’s known for its stunning coastline, historic center, and vibrant nightlife. It offers a mix of beautiful beaches, dramatic cliffs, and a rich seafaring heritage. The old town of Lagos features charming cobblestone streets, whitewashed buildings, and historical landmarks like the Church of Santo António and the Governors’ Castle. 

Sagres, only 22km from Burgau is a blend of natural wonders, cultural heritage (Fortaleza de Sagres), and coastal splendour, well known for it’s choice of surfing beaches.  The Cabo de Sao Vicente is the most southwestern point in Europe aka the ‘End of the World” and its a popular place to watch the sunset.
